About
The Treasurer serves as the chief fiscal officer of the Village. Pursuant to Village Law 4-408, the treasurer is responsible for Accounting, Bank Deposits, Signing Checks, Payments, and Annual Financial Statements.
The treasurer must maintain custody of all village funds and keep the accounts of all village receipts and expenditures. The accounting must comply with the Office of the State Comptroller's uniform system of accounts.
Accounts Payable
This includes processing all vendor payments for the village once the contractual obligations have been fulfilled and the vendor payments have been approved and processed.
Payroll
This includes processing semi-monthly payroll checks for the village employees and the monthlyretirement system reporting. Responsible for posting of cash receipts and disbursements and reconciling general ledger cash accounts to bank statements. Coordinates filing of Village insurance claims, preparation of purchase requisitions and compliance with Village procurement procedures. Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics.
